You may have learned about Alzheimer’s disease in school, read in the news about its escalating incidence, or witnessed its impact on friends and family. Now, you want to take action.
There’s no better place to start then by volunteering in your community—at a local Alzheimer’s organization, long-term care facility, adult day center or other setting. Volunteer opportunities include providing companionship, serving meals, participating in intergenerational activities, getting involved in local awareness-raising events, and planning or partaking in local fundraisers that support care-related programs and services.
On this site, we’ll list appropriate volunteer opportunities for teens; if you don’t see an opportunity in your community, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
